(When I tried to post a response to the previous post, I got a 'System thought it was spam' message. Wonder if this has to do with the Technical Difficulties?)

Yep, was there on Saturday. We lucked out - no rain and a beautiful night for racing.

The crowd was the usual turnout - pretty sparse. Seemed like the usual turnout for drivers as well. There was definitely some good racing with a couple of photo finishes. Also a lot of disqualifications when I think about it - Van Dalen was DQ'd for illegal tires, another Factory-4 driver was DQ'd for having a rearview mirror, and Jeff Marvin was penalized for rough driving at the end of the Figure-8.

Mike Reed (sp?) had to borrow Bill Welch's 51 car for the night, so that was fun to watch. Also, from reading Thumper's blog, Bill Rabbits borrowed a car from Rocky Nails, so he was getting the hang of it. TJ won another heat race, but got passed almost immediately on the Pursuit and ended up toward the back of the pack in the feature.

They had to cancel the photo/autograph intermission session due to oncoming bad weather, but several of the drivers made it to the ticket booth and signed autographs anyways. They are still promoting the rollover contest for this weekend and a second camper pull Figure-8 for the last racing weekend. Looks like they are keeping it to campers only this time, and if you can provide a car, they will provide a camper. We are trying to convince my father-in-law to enter!

Well, I back-doored my way in to the blogs, but the main entrance is masked off for 'Technical Difficulties'. What the heck? I was hoping to read reactions from some of the drivers to this past weekend's racing. I hope this is not a knee-jerk reaction to things said on here.

Thank God, our weather prayers were answered!

Damn, we were pulling for that 13-year old. When I saw him restarting with Rocky, Bo, and Aaron, that was fantastic. Kudos to him for hanging in there as long as he did. He gained at least one new fan tonight.

Glad to see Tekavic and Marvin racing, that's how it should be in the Figure-8.

Great night of racing, thanks to all of the drivers for the show!

STINKY!! Man sure knows how to put on a show in the camper pull. The boat at the end was the cherry on the sundae.

Wow, great to read some of the posts here. My father-in-law got me hooked on Painesville two years ago. We came to a lot of the races last year and have tried to come to most of them this year. We've been saddened by the small turnouts and dwindling number of drivers over that time. I hope something can turn this around. I've enjoyed bringing my oldest daughter (age 4) to the events and she has a good time each time.

I was wondering what happened to Chad the last few weekends, how long is this suspension for?

Here's hoping the weather holds out for the Camper Pull this weekend. I know me, my daughter, father-in-law, sister-in-law, and neighbors will be there.
