Money helps. Dont get me wrong. Knowledge and experience will beat money every time.  I have spent a friggin boatload of money trying to keep up with the big kahunas this year. And wasted a boatload of money on things that didnt help a bit. Even hurt my times and speed. I thank the people that have been helping me with my set ups and telling me what the hell im doing wrong. There is so much to know its crazy.  Wish i knew at the begining of the season what i know now, and i still dont know that much. Take a look at whos the fast ones in each division. They are fast because they have been doing this for years and KNOW how to go fast. There are always people who spend more money on their cars then others and it does help im sure. But spend all the money you want, if u cant set up the car and wheel the freaking thing then you will get passed by the poor guy that knows how to set the car up and the skill to match it.

I DONT GET WHAT THE PROBLEM WITH COHAGEN IS. GRANTED I AM SOMEWHAT OF A NEWBIE AT THE TRACK. I RAN THE 8 BACK IN '94 AND 95 AND I SAW MORE OF THE B.S. GOING ON BACK THEN AS I DO NOW. MAYBE CUZ THERE WERE MORE CARS?? I DONT KNOW. IM SURE THERE ARE SOME OF YOU RACERS THAT LEFT BECAUSE OF MANAGEMENT. WHAT TRACK HASNT HAD PEOPLE GET PISSED OFF AND LEAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND RACE?  I DONT KNOW WHATS BECOME OF ALL THE TROPHY STOCKS THAT WERE AT PVILLE LAST YEAR. WHERE THEY AT???     

JUST MY OPINION BUT I BELIEVE THAT PART OF THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CARS TO BUILD ARE NOT A DIME A DOZEN ANYMORE. THIS SHITS EXPENSIVE!!  NO LONGER ARE THERE CHEAP MONTES AND CHEVELLES OUT THERE LIKE THERE ONCE WAS .  U CANT GO TO A JUNK YARD ANYMORE LIKE WE COULD TEN FIFTEEN YEARS AGO AND FIND IT FULL OF THESE FIGURE 8 CARS AND TROPHY STOCKS.  NOWADAYS ITS THE CAVS AND ESCORTS AND HONDAS. SO THATS WHATS BEING BUILT AND RACED . TIMES A CHANGING!!   I THINK THEY DO PUT ON A GOOD SHOW BUT MAN ARE THEY ROUGH. DONT YOU GUYS GET TIRED OF FIXING YOUR CARS EVERYWEEK?

BACK TO THE COHAGEN THING. I DONT SEE A PROBLEM WITH HIM. NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIM HERE. YEAH IM SURE HES MADE SOME BAD DECISIONS. HAVENT WE ALL.    ( I THOUGHT THE SWAY BAR WAS A GOOD IDEA)    BUT THEN AGAIN I WOULDNT WANT THE JOB OF TRYING TO KEEP ALL US HILLBILLY 500 RACERS HAPPY. THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. I HAVE SEEN A COUPLE THINGS LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR THAT I DIDNT AGREE WITH AND SOME THAT I HAVE.  MOSTLY THE PAYOUT IN THE F8 DIVISION. YEAH IT SUCKS. BUT SO HAS THE CAR COUNT. PAY MORE.... GET MORE CARS. DONT PAY MORE.... DONT GET MORE CARS. THATS LIFE.  COHAGEN THE PROB FOR THAT??? I DONT BUY IT.  IF SO THEN THE FEW OF US KEEP RACING ON. AND THE REST RACE SOMEWHERE ELSE OR SIT HOME. I TAKE THE RACING AND SMALL AMOUNT OF PRIZE MONEY AND CLEANING OFF THE BLUE PAINT THAT APPEARS ON MY CAR EVERYWEEK SOMEHOW   OVER THAT ANY DAY !!

 

 

I dont like the small car counts or the small crowds every week just like nobody else does.  I know that the track has tried things to improve both situations as far as demo derbys and camper races. Hopefully there will be  a good turn out this sat. That would be great. As far as the camper race, thats awesome. Everybody loves it.  Can i make a suggestion??? Howa bout more "special" races???  We know how the camper race packs them in. What about some backwards races?? Maybe flagpole race?  The chain race is cool but how many people are going to be in that? 2 sets of cars like last year? not very entertaining for the fans. Thought it was boreing myself.       Find a big ball and play some soccer.  I would even put together a small car for that.       Havent you people seen some of that crazy stuff they do at tracks in the south? Fans LOVE that shit. What happened to the bigwheel races??? I had 2 dif people ask me about them this past week. I was glad to talk to some guy  in the stands last week that was there with his little kid for the first time , and was having a great time and planning on coming back. I thought maybe there is hope!!!!    Howabout  going the opposite way in the 8??  I dont think it would be all that dif. for the drivers but maybe pretty cool for the fans seeing the cars coming at them  instead of the same thing week after week.   Let me know your thoughts.
