Hey guys,

I have been reading all the posts and it really sounds like the fans and the racers all feel the same way.  This is unfortunate...I am a huge racing fan and used to go everyweek to Painesville since 1995.  However, I now go all over the tri-state area to see races. I have only been to Painesville once this year and not sure If I will go back and until the end of the year Last year was the deciding year for me, when they decided to get rid of the Sportsman class instead of tyring to do some Marketing to get more racers to the track. I was at a dirt track last week to watch some sprint cars and there was 5,000 people in the stands and 48 sprint cars and like 20 Super Late Model cars.  The track was  a whole in the ground to be honest, however they fronted $5,000 to the winner and $1,500 for the Super Late Models. Now i have no idea what kind of money Painesville pays out to winners, but if you dont pay, racers wont show up, and if racers dont show up, fans wont show up and pay big money to see the racing.  It is the old saying that you have to spend money to make money!  I do believe that if they could, (could being the word hear) put money into the track itself to make it bigger/update it etc. that might help too. Painesville is the smallest track in Ohio (although in the past have had some great action) maybe it is time for a face lift and some really good marketing!! To the current and past drivers of Painesville: Thanks for the action and best of luck to everyone!  Maybe see you at the races!

I personally love to see a wreck...that is the only thing keeping Painesville alive is to see damage.  It is sad but true...so more wrecks people lol.  Just as long as everyone stays safe!!

Well nice said Bill (I think that is your first name) Rabbitts.  I dont believe i have seen your new car this year.  It is obvious that you love to race at P-ville and you care for the other drivers and the website that noone in management is even taking care of.  Good luck this weekend. I just called the track and they havent updated it since June 28. Hopefully peaople will show up to race and watch..I myself will be down at Eldora Speedway where the World Of Outlaws are down there for $50,000 to win!! If none of you have ever been to a race like that..there will probably be 20,000 people down there!  It looks like dirt is the way to go if you want to make money! Anyways good luck and i may possibly see some of you in September!  Management get your head together you do not want to lose these popular drivers!!!!! Do anything you can to kiss their butts lol!!

Hey i tried for the drivers out there!!

Hey i was just wondering...Did they ever mention anything else about the IMCA cars. I had a feeling that was not going to happen.  The most i ever saw was two cars there at the very begining of the season! Oh and I highly doubt you would see them have double weekends for racing, but i guess you never know.

I just called and on the answering machine says nothing about Friday night and it says that Saturday they will have mid-season championships and the camper pull.  I dont think anything else is happening on that night...oh and i saw an article in Scene magazine online which had Jason Bateman explaining about the Camper pull for this Saturday night.  I just wanted to give everybody the update from what I saw.

Okay guys,

I will admit it, I actually thought about going to Painesville on Saturday night, but I opted to go to Lorain instead.  I love the camper pulls, but i did not want to be dissapointed if only 3 guys showed up.  I was just curious what was the car count? in the camper pull?  Were more fans there than before. I mean i did notice they did some more marketing for this event.  Did Bobby make an announcement in the stands regarding any of this talk on the website or whatever?  I have my guesses that it was completely ignored and nothing was said and all was happy! haha.  From reading everyone's blogs it seems like it was a good 4 cylinder race but what about the other divisions?  And for any of you Joe Coursen fans he won his 4 th feature straight at Lorain.

Thanks for the updates

Maybe Painesville ought to think about doing a fan appreciation night...everything 1 doillar...that seems like a good idea.  www.sanduskyspeedway.com  for all the local racing fans..they have one tomorow night.
