The 2008 Season brings a milestone in Painesville Speedway History. The Speedway will be opening for business for its 50th year. The speedway opened in 1958 for business and has operated continuously since then. This year will bring a series of events leading up to a 50th anniversary celebration event (T.B.A.). The Speedway is interested in obtaining copies of photos and newspaper clippings for the purposes of some track side displays. Speedway staff will be available to process all archival information through a non-invasive scanning process that will not damage your special memories, but will allow us to share these with the rest of the Speedways fans. We would also like to extend an invitation to all past drivers to join us this year for our events, so that they can be recognized for their contributions the Painesville Speedway's 50 year history.
